Inspur Information Plans Up to RMB 9 Billion Private Placement for AI Infrastructure R&D
Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co., Ltd. (000977.SZ), a leading Chinese server maker, disclosed a 2026 private placement plan on the evening of Sept. 11, proposing to issue up to 96 million shares to no more than 35 investors and raise up to RMB 9 billion for R&D in next-generation AI infrastructure, liquid-cooled native computing infrastructure, multi-agent collaborative storage-computing converged infrastructure and other projects, as well as working capital replenishment.
The issuance price will be no less than 80% of the average trading price of the company's shares in the 20 trading days before the pricing benchmark date, according to the plan. Proceeds will partly fund a next-generation AI infrastructure project in Jinan, with a three-year construction period, a total investment of RMB 3.458 billion and RMB 2.6 billion from the placement. The company also plans to use RMB 2.7 billion to replenish working capital.
Inspur Information said the AI industry is moving from model training and inference toward large-scale deployment of agents, placing higher demands on computing infrastructure efficiency, resource scheduling, and platform development, deployment, operation and governance. The fundraising projects will cover high-scaling super-node rack systems, enterprise-grade high-performance AI servers, and system optimization architectures for agent-oriented AI infrastructure.
In the first half of 2026, Inspur Information reported revenue of RMB 84.379 billion, up 5.22% year on year, and attributable net profit of RMB 2.952 billion, up 269.59%. As of the Sept. 11 close, its shares stood at RMB 70.54, giving a market capitalization of about RMB 103.6 billion.
