Google Integrates Deep Research into Gemini Live for Voice-Activated Reports

Google has announced the integration of Deep Research into Gemini Live, enabling users to launch in-depth research reports through voice commands. Users can simply ask the Gemini App to run a Deep Research report on a topic, then close the chat, lock their screen, or continue other conversations while the task is being processed.

Gemini will work asynchronously in the background and send a notification once the full report is ready. After that, users can discuss the results, ask follow-up questions, or refine details through conversation. This update brings Deep Research, previously a text-based research capability, into the voice interaction experience of Gemini Live.
