Kangwei Vision Raises Nearly RMB 100 Million Pre-A Round for AI Computing Board Inspection
Shenzhen Kangwei Vision Technology Co., Ltd. has completed a Pre-A funding round of nearly RMB 100 million, led by Nanjing Jingzhida Qingyuan Investment Fund, with participation from Sichuan-Chongqing Fund and existing shareholder Qingyuan Capital. Dstech Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor. The proceeds will be used to expand R&D and operations teams, increase production capacity to meet order growth, and develop next-generation products and technology platforms.
Founded in Shenzhen in 2019, Kangwei Vision is a high-tech enterprise focused on high-end optical inspection equipment for the pan-semiconductor industry. Founder and CEO Zhang Hui has nearly 20 years of experience in algorithm chipization and productization. He previously worked at Qualcomm on chip algorithm R&D and later co-founded intelligent driving company Qianxiang Qichuang as CTO, which was acquired by a listed company in 2019.
The company's core product lines include pure 3D AOI, 2D+3D hybrid AOI, micro-hole inspection equipment, and finished appearance inspection equipment. Its most differentiating technology is 2D+3D hybrid imaging, which integrates line-scan spectral confocal sensors originally used in semiconductors into high-end PCB inspection. This allows simultaneous detection of surface defects and three-dimensional morphology on a single machine, achieving inspection accuracy of ±1 micron, a detection rate above 99.9%, and a false positive rate below 5%.
Kangwei Vision embeds its self-developed AI framework across the entire inspection chain, from data parsing and feature extraction to defect classification, including the TempDCF network based on template difference fusion and the DHNM framework for active negative sample mining. Zhang noted that the company has entered the supply chains of multiple domestic PCB listed companies, with end customers covering global tech giants such as NVIDIA, Google, and Huawei. He expects revenue in 2026 to grow several-fold year-on-year.
Kangwei Vision is also expanding its technology to inspect other AI computing core components, having completed product development in areas such as optical module inspection. The company plans to increase its annual production capacity from 200 units to 500 units.
