Google Launches Expert Intelligence for Gemini Notebook
Google announced the launch of Expert Intelligence on September 18, integrating professional content into Gemini Notebook. Gemini Notebook is Google's AI-powered note-taking and research tool built on the Gemini large language model, which helps users organize and summarize document information.
The newly launched Expert Intelligence brings professional domain content into Gemini Notebook. Further details about the service were not disclosed in the announcement.
On the same day, Google also unveiled an upgraded version of CC, its household AI agent. Originally launched by Google Labs in 2025 as a personal AI assistant, CC has now become a family-oriented AI agent with its own Google account, allowing up to six members to manage and collaborate.
The upgraded CC can view information shared by members and automatically compile it into a shared daily briefing, syncing with Google Calendar and Tasks. It also tracks important dates and to-do items, organizes shared information into family calendars or task lists, and assists with filling out consent forms, creating shopping lists, and planning weekly meals.
Google said CC is currently available to users aged 18 and older in the United States with a personal Google account. It is designed with privacy protections, and will not execute outgoing actions or share information outside the group without permission.
