BAOBAO is a dual-form companion robot that switches between quadruped and sitting postures. Standing dimensions are 75 x 40 x 47 cm with a weight of about 18 kg including the battery and 17 degrees of freedom across the body; knee and hip range of motion reaches 150 degrees in each direction, locomotion speed is 0-3 m/s, continuous walking payload about 5 kg and maximum slope 30 degrees. An 8-inch touchscreen supports expression display and motion editing; acoustics use a low-frequency resonance membrane and a full-range speaker with voice control supported. Battery rated energy is 478.5 Wh for about 14 hours of total runtime, with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, OTA firmware upgrades and open secondary development, for home companionship and developer innovation.
