NEO

1X Technologies

NEO is 1X's home robot, built to take over the tedious chores around the house: set a list, schedule a time, and come home to a tidy space every day. It walks over to you, puts away dishes, and plugs itself in to charge when the battery runs low. By default it works autonomously on 1X's general-purpose AI model, Redwood AI; for chores it has not yet learned, a 1X Expert can be booked for remote supervision and guidance, so the robot learns while it works. The design is soft and safe: tendon-driven actuators produce gentle, low-energy motion, a deformable 3D lattice cushions internal components, and operating noise is lower than that of a modern refrigerator. Autonomous skills currently include walking to a person and putting away dishes, while expert mode enables remote guidance. Besides outright purchase, a subscription plan is available at $499 per month.
