Calvin
WandercraftCalvin-40 is a bipedal industrial humanoid released by Wandercraft of France in June 2025: 170 cm tall, 80 kg, 28 degrees of freedom, 40 kg payload (up to 50 kg short-term), top speed 3 km/h and 4 hours of runtime per charge. The headless design is voice-controlled and runs NVIDIA Jetson edge AI computing with the Isaac robotics platform. Built on ten years of balance technology from the company's medical exoskeletons, it carries a certifiable safety system and can work alongside people without guardrails, targeting a failure rate below 1 in 1000. Renault Group is its first customer with units already in service at the Douai plant and 350 units planned before 2027. Applications include material handling, logistics, picking and assembly and other repetitive, high-intensity tasks.
