Anthropic Opens Applications for Life Sciences Verification Program, Extending Mythos Model Access

On September 18, 2026, Anthropic announced that applications are now open for the Life Sciences Verification Program (LSVP). The program allows life science professionals to use Anthropic's models—including, for the first time, the Mythos model—for biology-related work under a new set of safeguards designed to improve the user experience while providing stronger protection against misuse.

The program is launching in beta for a wide range of teams, from academic labs to startups and pharmaceutical companies. Anthropic said it will continue to improve the program and expand access to individual Pro and Max plans over time.
