Huawei Unveils Seven-Step AI Deployment Method and DIMAK Framework
At Huawei Connect 2026 on September 18, Huawei unveiled the "Seven-Step AI Deployment Method" and the "DIMAK Engineering System" to address the challenges of deeply embedding Agentic AI into core industry scenarios and achieving large-scale adoption.
Tao Jingwen, Deputy Chairman of Huawei's Supervisory Board, said in his keynote that the pace of intelligence evolution is far faster than the ability of humans and industries to adapt to AI. He stressed that what is lacking is not powerful intelligence, but the methods to adapt to it. He proposed that technology companies should not only build powerful intelligent systems, but also solve the dual challenge of how industries adapt to intelligence and how intelligence understands industries. Future enterprise processes will be designed around human-AI collaboration, requiring a redesign rather than incremental upgrades.
Huawei's seven-step method focuses on selecting core scenarios, forming "small entry points with deep penetration," and expanding along value-driven business flows. The steps include understanding industry business logic, selecting core scenarios, technical and engineering breakthroughs, deployment and production, diffusion along value business flows, ecosystem development, and continuous improvement of industry intelligence.
On the organizational side, Huawei strengthened its industry-specific vertical operations teams in 2025, establishing 10 industry legions and systems departments, along with 66 sub-legions and system departments for segmented industries, to ensure experts work closely with customers on the front lines.
Huawei also introduced the DIMAK (Data, Infra, Model, Agent, Knowledge) engineering system, built on real-world practice, to support AI adoption across industries. The system has already been applied in multiple sectors.
The company also released the "Agentic Enterprise: Enterprise Intelligence White Paper" and shared 157 digital transformation case studies as references for global industrial intelligence upgrades.
