Nvidia CEO Huang Says AI Development Should Move at Full Speed

By AI123

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in an interview on September 19, 2026 that despite recent warnings from some industry leaders who have called for a slower pace due to concerns about AI technology, tech companies should still push AI development as fast as possible. He stressed that Nvidia will move at full speed but will never release immature or unsafe products.

“We should go as fast as we possibly can, and we shouldn't care what other people think,” Huang said. “We're going to go at full speed, but we're never going to, we never should release products that are immature, that are not safe. Nobody expects us to do that. But everybody expects us to succeed, to deliver the maximum amount of prosperity for America.”

Santa Clara-based Nvidia, the world's most valuable company with a market value above $5 trillion, has grown on the back of the AI boom. In recent weeks, concerns about the pace of AI development have intensified, with some calling for safeguards and government regulation.

The discussion was sparked in part by Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon, who publicly resigned earlier this month, saying AI companies were sacrificing safety standards in a rush to innovate. Days later, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei acknowledged the industry had been “fooling the public” about the risks of the technology, describing its development as “exponential,” while adding that this is “not a reason to panic or shut everything down,” but rather a “warning sign” to slow down.
