AI Actor Tilly Norwood Malfunctions During First Press Tour, Suddenly Switches to Chinese

In September 2026, Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated actress created by Particle6 Group, took part in 75 simultaneous interviews during its first press tour. The AI actor reportedly made mistakes in some of the conversations.

During one recorded interview with Piers Morgan and actor Tom Conti, Norwood was asked whether the other actors in the film Misaligned were also AI-generated. It responded that the production was a hybrid and that all other actors were digital twins, but then paused and began speaking in Chinese for more than ten seconds.

When Morgan asked why it had switched languages, the AI apologized and said it had experienced a minor glitch. The article noted that while AI bots can sometimes be so convincing that people forget they are talking to a computer, Norwood's visible mistakes in conversation stood out as unusual.
