CXMT Starts Mass Production of Fifth-Generation DRAM Platform

By AI123

At the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention on September 20, memory maker CXMT announced that its fifth-generation DRAM technology platform has entered mass production.

According to the company, the platform achieves an array active-area half pitch of 11.95nm, a memory capacitor aspect ratio of 45:1, and a core active-area height of 6,762nm. Storage density has improved significantly, with wafer output per wafer more than 50% higher than the previous-generation platform under the same conditions.

The 24GB LPDDR5X built on the platform has also entered volume production and is now found in mainstream domestic flagship smartphones.
