Hello Robot CEO to demo Stretch 4 at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026
Hello Robot CEO and co-founder Aaron Edsinger will bring Stretch 4 to the Real World AI Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 for a live demonstration. The home-assistance robot, launched in May 2026, has already sold out its first production run. It uses a wheeled base and a telescoping single arm to handle everyday tasks, designed for people with severe mobility impairments.
Stretch 4 rolls rather than walks, and its single arm can reach out to grab and manipulate objects. The compact robot is built to operate in spaces designed for people, with sensors, perception, and contact sensitivity to work safely around them. Hello Robot says the new generation was shaped by six years of customer feedback and ships with a full-stack, open-source software platform for researchers and developers working on robotics and embodied AI.
Previous coverage highlighted users with quadriplegia using Stretch technology to drink a protein shake, handle glasses, and brush teeth. Edsinger founded Meka Robotics and Redwood Robotics before co-founding Hello Robot; both were acquired by Google in 2013. The conference takes place October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco, where attendees can watch Stretch 4 in action.
