Rokid's Second-Generation AI Glasses Debut at Global Digital Trade Expo with Automatic Meeting Summaries

By AI123

At the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo, which opened in Hangzhou on September 24, Rokid unveiled its second-generation full-featured AI glasses with a display. The new device builds on the first generation while strengthening capabilities for specific scenarios.

The glasses feature what the company calls the world's first multimodal meeting-minutes function. Using the microphone and camera, the system combines speech-to-text output with visual information from image recognition, automatically matching and organizing the content into a complete meeting summary.

Rokid vice president Cai Guoxiang said at the expo that AI glasses are a better carrier than smartphones for large models, as voice and vision enable more natural interaction. He also said Rokid will not build its own large language models, focusing instead on hardware, operating systems, and interaction.

According to Counterpoint Research, global AI glasses shipments grew 263% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, with the AR & AI glasses segment up 449%. Chinese OEMs including Rokid have been active in this segment.
