After Copilot 'Super App' Launch, Nadella Says Microsoft Is Building a 'Work Operating System'
On September 26, Windows Latest reported that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said on his personal X account that Microsoft is turning Copilot into a new operating system for work, designed for all models, work scenarios, and tasks.
A day earlier, Microsoft released the new Copilot "super app," which brings chat, coding, and agents together in a single interface and describes the product as "AI for work." Nadella then posted on X to share his remarks.
The report also noted that Microsoft in 2025 described Windows 11 as an "agent OS," a move that prompted opposition from Windows users and led Windows chief Pavan Davuluri to limit his comments. Microsoft has also recently lifted restrictions on the "Microslop" keyword, which Windows Latest interpreted as a sign that Microsoft no longer cares about negative sentiment or believes Copilot is strong enough to earn its own reputation.
