Claude Code adds graceful wind-down for tasks hitting 5-hour limit
By AI123
Anthropic has introduced a new mechanism for Claude Code, its AI coding tool, that prevents abrupt interruption when a session reaches the five-hour usage limit. Instead of cutting off mid-edit, the tool will now look for a suitable stopping point to wrap up the current task.
The time used for this wind-down is deducted from the user's weekly limit, according to an announcement by @ClaudeDevs on X. Pro users can use this feature once per week, while Max and Team Premium users can use it each time they hit the five-hour session limit.
