TSMC speeds up 2nm capacity build-out, monthly output may hit 120,000 wafers by end-2026

TSMC is accelerating its 2nm production capacity as key customers including Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm and MediaTek have raised orders by 10% to 20%, according to a Sept. 28 report citing sources.

The monthly output of 2nm chips could reach 120,000 wafers by the end of 2026, the report said, above earlier market estimates of 90,000 to 100,000 wafers. The faster ramp-up is expected to bring forward capacity levels previously targeted for 2027.
