World's First Embodied AI Robot With Fully Domestic Electronic Architecture Debuts in Yichang
On September 28, the world's first embodied AI robot featuring a fully domestically produced electronic architecture was unveiled at a launch event in Yichang, Hubei Province. The architecture covers an operating system, networking, tool software and AI computing chips, enabling both separation and integration of control and AI computing, and forming a domestic technology stack from AI decision-making to physical execution.
The system is described as offering an option that can fully replace foreign solutions. Tests conducted by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center showed that under conditions such as joint damage, cyberattacks and malware injection, robots using traditional electronic architecture suffered wiring failure, sudden shutdown and system loss of control, while the robot with the fully domestic architecture passed stringent safety tests and continued safe operation.
The new architecture is intended to support endogenous security and industrial sovereignty for robots, setting clear safety boundaries for autonomous behavior to prevent damage to production or threats to human safety. In recent years, China's robotics underlying technologies have been moving from component-level breakthroughs toward integrated hardware-software systems and full-chain ecosystem collaboration.
