Lens Technology, a leading precision manufacturing company, told media in a recent interview that its first-half 2026 performance was pressured by foreign exchange losses, but a turning point has emerged. The company reported revenue of RMB 28.866 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 577 million in H1 2026, down 49.5% year on year. In Q2 alone, net profit reached RMB 726 million, swinging back to profitability on a quarterly basis, with gross margin rising to 18.2%. The board has approved a $3 billion derivatives quota to hedge currency risks.

In the embodied AI segment, Lens Technology said its Lens Intelligent unit saw H1 revenue grow 43% year on year. The Yong'an campus now has capacity to produce 500,000 embodied AI robots and other AI hardware products. Mass supply of modules and dexterous hand components for leading customers began in the third quarter of 2026. The company positions itself as a "chain leader" and core manufacturing service provider for the embodied AI industry, and is developing application-layer software around a "cerebellum-cerebrum" platform, covering motion control, navigation and obstacle avoidance, as well as imitation learning and reinforcement learning training frameworks.

Lens Technology explained its "capability reuse" strategy: leveraging three decades of expertise in brittle material precision processing and metal forming, plus its automated production lines, customer resources and vertical integration strengths, the company is extending its core processes into robotic structural parts, AI server cabinets, TGV glass substrates and other new tracks. It is also expanding in AI computing power infrastructure, including AI server structural components, liquid cooling modules, TGV through-glass via carrier substrates and hollow-core fiber related products.
