Samsung Begins Mass Production of Exynos 2700 for Galaxy S27 Series
Chinese tech blogger @i冰宇宙 said in a post on October 2 that Samsung Electronics has started mass production of the Exynos 2700 processor, a key component for the Galaxy S27 series. Output is said to be 10% higher than the previous generation.
According to South Korean media The Elec, Samsung has secured Exynos 2700 supply for the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus and S27 Pro, indicating the chip has moved beyond the sample stage. The report added that the production increase is mainly aimed at meeting demand for the new Galaxy S27 Pro model. It typically takes three to four months from wafer to finished chip, which aligns with the Galaxy S27 series launch planned for January 2027.
Consistent with the Galaxy S26 strategy, Samsung continues its dual-chip approach. The S27, S27 Plus and S27 Pro sold in South Korea and Europe will use the Exynos 2700, while the US and China versions are expected to feature Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 series, likely in a "for Galaxy" variant.
On performance, tipster @kro_roe reported that the Exynos 2700 scores around 3,900 points in GeekBench 6 single-core tests. In multi-core tests, it is said to outperform Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Edition by about 9.5%, scoring over 14,000 points.
