FieldAI signs $700M term sheet at $10B valuation for universal robot brains
FieldAI, a startup developing a "universal brain" for robots, has signed a term sheet for a $700 million funding round that would value the company at $10 billion, according to a person familiar with the deal as reported by Business Insider. The transaction may not have officially closed yet, and the lead investor has not been identified.
Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Irvine and the San Francisco Bay Area, FieldAI builds software designed to operate across different robot types, tasks and environments. Its system can power humanoid robots, robot dogs, drones and industrial mobile vehicles to work autonomously in unpredictable real-world settings. The company has hired talent from Google DeepMind, Tesla, Nvidia and Boston Dynamics, and counts construction firms, data center operators and defense companies among its customers.
The new valuation is five times the company's previous $2 billion valuation. In 2025, FieldAI raised more than $400 million from investors including Jeff Bezos' family office, Laurene Powell Jobs' Emerson Collective and Khosla Ventures. Since June 2026, FieldAI has added at least $35 million in revenue and customer orders, bringing its total booked revenue and orders to more than $135 million, with over 30 customers, the person said. CEO Ali Agha said in an interview in June that business growth had been very fast in recent months.
The round is another sign of capital flowing into "physical AI" — artificial intelligence systems that can perform actions in the real world. After this round, FieldAI's valuation approaches well-funded rivals such as Physical Intelligence (about $11 billion) and Skild AI (over $14 billion).
