Mistral AI CEO Unveils New Model, Claims Cybersecurity Edge Over Chinese Rivals

At the Ai Everything conference in Abu Dhabi on October 6, Arthur Mensch, CEO of French AI startup Mistral AI, said the company would release a new AI model later that day.

Mensch said the model outperforms Chinese models in areas such as cybersecurity, adding that claims Europe “cannot compete” are incorrect. He also noted strong demand for alternative technology providers.

Mistral AI is Europe’s largest AI unicorn. Mensch did not specify which Chinese models were compared or what other areas the model excels in.
