Alibaba's Qwen to Launch Personal Agent 'Qwen Go' for Automated Travel and Shopping Tasks

By AI123

Hard AI has learned exclusively that Qwen is about to release its personal AI assistant, Personal Agent "Qwen Go". Built on an agent architecture, the product can operate inside real apps to handle tasks that require repeated checking, communication, and comparison.

In user-shared demo videos, Qwen Go entered an airline booking platform, searched across four orders from four different airlines with incomplete trip information, identified the delayed flight based on customer service feedback, and negotiated on behalf of the user. It rejected a voucher-only compensation offer and ultimately secured a 70 yuan cash payout directly to the user's Alipay account.

In another example, Qwen Go opened Taobao, located the price-protection section, scanned the user's orders, identified an item that had dropped in price after purchase, and recovered a 52 yuan price difference.

The initial use cases also include booking car maintenance quotes and sports venues, as well as calculating the final price of a refrigerator by factoring in subsidies, old-device recycling, and delivery/installation fees.

Previously, Qwen offered short-chain tasks such as ride-hailing and food ordering within the Alibaba ecosystem. With this upgrade, Qwen Go can handle more complex, non-linear tasks, and can switch entry points, platforms, or communication methods based on execution results.

Analysts believe personal agents could expand overall online activity and create new commercial and compute demand. Morgan Stanley estimates China's personal consumer AI monetizable market could reach 300 billion yuan by 2030 and 1.6 trillion yuan by 2040.
