Adobe rearchitects Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D for NVIDIA's RTX Spark

By AI123

Adobe has rearchitected its creative applications, including Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D, to take full advantage of NVIDIA's RTX Spark, a new system-on-chip platform designed to bring on-device AI capabilities to Windows laptops and small desktops.

Deepa Subramaniam, vice president at Adobe, said the optimized apps are twice as fast for AI tasks and editing across workflows. On computers with RTX Spark, the redesigned Photoshop offers faster rendering of complex workflows and real-time previews for effects such as Light Leaks and the Remove tool, letting users see changes instantly.

Premiere users gain significant speedups in rendering, effects application, AI-powered editing and color grading for audio and video. The optimized Substance 3D Painter accelerates texturing and other heavy tasks, including opening and saving large projects and exporting textures.

Unlike NVIDIA's DGX Spark, which targets enterprises and AI developers, RTX Spark is positioned as a more accessible platform for creatives and novice developers, enabling local AI workloads.
