Meta Rolls Out Enterprise AI Tools Business, Restructures Around Muse
Meta announced on October 21, 2026, alongside its third-quarter results, that it is launching a new business line to sell AI tools to enterprise customers. The company is also reorganizing around its consumer AI assistant Muse, which it has positioned at the core of its strategy, with the work led by its Superintelligence Lab.
According to SensorTower, Muse has been downloaded more than 10 million times since its September launch. The app offers subscription plans at $20 and $100 per month. Meta is also applying AI to ad delivery and targeting, and is seeking to expand revenue beyond advertising with new AI products. To support its AI infrastructure spending, the company raised the lower end of its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $135 billion and plans to create a new class of non-voting C shares, expected to take effect in January 2027.
Muse still faces several obstacles, including generally low consumer acceptance of AI assistants and access blocks from a number of websites, including Amazon, with some companies restricting use over security concerns. Whether the new business line can match the pace of infrastructure investment remains to be seen in future results.
