NVIDIA and Agile Robot Partner on Robot Launch Set for Q1 2027

At GTC Berlin on October 21, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced a partnership with Agile Robot to develop a robot, with launch planned for the first quarter of 2027. Huang said the collaboration aims to provide a reference humanoid robot for the industry, encouraging standardization in robotics technology.

The robot, reportedly named Agile One SN, positions NVIDIA deeper into embodied AI. The announcement comes as frontier AI labs including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind accelerate their own robotics efforts, and as GPT-6 Astra has shown strong results in robot control benchmarks, achieving a 66.3% success rate in direct action generation and 74.8% with Codex support.

The developments have spurred debate about the role of specialized embodied models versus general-purpose AI in robotics, with 2027 seen as a potential inflection point for the industry.
