AWS and FIA Partner to Apply AI and Cloud Computing to Next-Gen F1 Regulations

By AI123

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a new partnership with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) to leverage cloud computing and artificial intelligence to drive innovation across all levels of motorsport, from grassroots racing to Formula 1.

Under the collaboration, AWS will play a key role in shaping the technical regulations for next-generation F1 cars. The FIA has already been using AWS high-performance computing to conduct aerodynamic simulations and test car performance in virtual environments, with the goal of advancing safety, performance, and sustainability.

AWS will also become the FIA's official AI and cloud computing partner, providing aerodynamic simulation support for future single-seater technical regulations and assisting in event management to make motorsport more accessible worldwide. Additionally, Amazon will supply AI tools to FIA engineering teams to strengthen the organization's ability to develop technical rules.
