AWS announced that TorchNeuron will be released as a public beta on October 20. The PyTorch plugin provides a new backend for Trainium, supporting eager mode, torch.compile, and native distributed APIs such as FSDP. Hugging Face libraries including Transformers and Diffusers now support it natively, allowing users to use them directly without Optimum Neuron.
