Nine departments including MIIT jointly issued the '15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry', made public through central media on Sept 14. The plan targets NEV sales shares of 70% and 40% for passenger and commercial vehicles by 2030, deploys key technology projects covering automotive electronic architectures, vehicle operating systems and automotive chips, and accelerates frontier standards for automotive AI and cockpit-driving integration.
