Cover Letter Copilot

Overview

Cover Letter Copilot is an AI-powered cover letter generator designed to help job seekers craft personalized, ATS-friendly cover letters in under 60 seconds. Founded in 2023 by Ben Broch and trusted by over 1.2 million users with a 4.7/5 rating, the platform eliminates the stress of starting from a blank page. By simply uploading a resume and providing a job description, users receive a complete, polished draft that matches their experience to the employer's requirements. Whether you are a recent graduate, a career changer, or an experienced professional, the tool transforms the tedious process of cover letter writing into a fast, efficient workflow.

At its core, the platform leverages advanced AI models, including GPT-4o and GPT-5.2 on paid tiers, to analyze job postings and generate tailored content. The AI is trained on thousands of successful applications and over 100K recruiter feedback points, enabling it to incorporate keyword optimization and professional formatting that satisfy applicant tracking systems (ATS). The system identifies key requirements in the job description, highlights the user's most relevant experience, and adjusts tone and focus to align with company culture. This dual emphasis on passing automated screening and impressing human hiring managers ensures that letters are both machine-readable and genuinely compelling.

Users retain full control over the final output. An integrated rich text editor allows for fine-tuning every paragraph, while one-click rewriting and regeneration features let the AI produce alternative phrasings or adjust tone between casual and professional. The platform includes 72+ professional templates, and users can save, edit, and download their letters across supported formats. The service offers a free plan with one cover letter per day, plus affordable subscription tiers—Active Seeker at $8/month and Elite Navigator at $12/month—that unlock unlimited letters, advanced company search, an AI-powered resume builder, and mock interview preparation.

Cover Letter Copilot serves a global audience in over 150 countries and supports multiple languages, making it a versatile tool for job seekers worldwide. From quickly applying to multiple roles to crafting a targeted application for a dream job, the platform streamlines the writing process while maintaining a human touch. Its transparency, user-centric editing capabilities, and proven track record make it a reliable assistant for anyone looking to land more interviews and advance their career.
