AI-powered clothing quality grading: scan any fabric label and get an instant A–F score before you buy.
WearScore is an AI-driven mobile application that transforms your iPhone into a clothing-quality compass. The platform grades garments based on actual fiber composition data rather than brand marketing or subjective opinion. By combining on-device computer vision, OCR, and a proprietary grading algorithm, WearScore evaluates each garment's quality and assigns an instant 0–100 score along with a corresponding letter grade from A to F.
The core capability is label scanning: users simply point their camera at any garment care label, and WearScore reads the fiber composition using on-device OCR powered by Apple Vision. The application then computes a quality score based on 46 tracked fibers, each pre-scored on breathability, pilling resistance, lifespan, and care complexity. All scanning is performed locally on the device, ensuring complete privacy. Users can also view a curated weekly feed of AI-styled outfits, each composed of real garments from real brands, with per-piece fiber breakdowns, grades, and all-in pricing. The integrated Fiber Dictionary ranks 46 fibers from natural to synthetic, while the Brand Directory tracks 200+ brands and compares them using real scan data.
Beyond scoring, WearScore offers practical tools for informed purchasing. The Smart Search feature filters the entire garment database by fiber type, clothing category, gender, and minimum grade. The Wardrobe section lets users save outfits and personal scans in one place, maintaining live links to purchased pieces and historical grade records. The platform is independent and transparent: grades are calculated from fiber composition data alone, with no paid influence from brands, no ads, and no user tracking.
WearScore is designed for anyone who wants to stop overpaying for low-quality fabric. It is useful for in-store label checks, online shopping research, wardrobe audits, and brand comparisons. With over 1,000 labels scanned and a 4.9 App Store rating, the app serves as a practical resource for quality-conscious consumers seeking durability, breathability, and true fabric value.
