Maven Robotics exits stealth with $100M to build 250 third-generation warehouse robots
Maven Robotics, a warehouse automation startup founded in 2024, has raised $100 million from RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures and XTX Markets Ventures, the company announced as it emerged from stealth.
The funding will support production of 250 of its third-generation robots and initial design work on a fourth-generation platform. The company's robots, which move on wheeled bases at up to 10 miles per hour and have two arms capable of lifting 30 kilograms, are focused on mixed palletizing in distribution centers.
CEO and co-founder Hamza Derbas, who previously spent nine years at Apple's special projects group, said the company currently has up to eight robots operating 16 hours a day with 99% or higher uptime. Maven plans to expand from palletizing into broader material handling and fabrication, and has developed data pipelines that allow rapid retraining from operational data.
