By AI123

On September 14, the chief executives of Anthropic, OpenAI and SpaceX jointly issued a rare call to slow down the pace of AI development.

The same day, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the company would not pursue an initial public offering in 2026, citing recent developments around AI safety as making the current timing unsuitable for listing.

US memory chip stocks extended pre-market losses, with SK Hynix falling over 7%, and SanDisk, Western Digital and Seagate each dropping more than 6%, while Micron lost nearly 6%. AI hardware stocks also declined, with Nvidia down 2.56%, TSMC down 3.52% and Broadcom down 3.90%.
