Embodied AI company ChaoWei Power has completed an Angel+ round financing of over 500 million yuan, led by Vertex Ventures, with Fangguang Capital, Wanshi Capital and others participating. China Renaissance served as the exclusive financial advisor. The funds will be used to accelerate the iteration of data, models and hardware, and promote the commercialization of embodied AI products.

The company was registered in July 2025 and started R&D in September 2025, meaning it has been operating for less than a year. Positioning itself as a full-stack embodied AI large model company, ChaoWei Power now has nearly 200 employees, with core R&D members from the University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University, Peking University and the Technical University of Munich, as well as backgrounds in autonomous driving and chips.

In April 2026, the company released its first full-size humanoid robot, the KAI Bot, which is 173 cm tall, weighs 70 kg and has 117 degrees of freedom. Its KAI Hand dexterous hand features 37 degrees of freedom and fingertip force exceeding 30N, while the KAI Halo Lite data collection headband weighs about 300 grams. Both hardware products are now available for global industrial customers.

ChaoWei Power previously completed its Angel round in October 2025 and a Pre-A round led by Songhe Capital in December 2025. The company plans to start small-batch production of general-purpose humanoid robots by the end of 2027 and gradually scale up in 2028.
