AI Fashion App Daydream Taps Apple Intelligence to Turn Camera Roll Outfits Into Shoppable Results

By AI123

Daydream, an AI-powered fashion discovery app, launched two new features on September 14 that let iPhone users turn saved outfit photos into shoppable product matches and search for clothing and accessories through Siri without opening the app.

Built with Apple's iOS 27 developer tools, which officially rolled out the same day, both features require an iPhone running iOS 27 with Siri AI enabled, along with the Daydream app installed.

The first feature uses Apple's image-context capabilities, allowing users to shop from images already saved in their Photos app. Daydream analyzes the outfit in the image, identifies individual pieces, and automatically surfaces shoppable matches and similar styles from its catalog of roughly 3 million products. The company says a screenshot of an outfit found on Instagram or Pinterest could serve as the starting point for a shopping search, with the app able to break down the image into relevant items such as sweaters, pants, shoes, or accessories. If the exact item is still available, Daydream can match the image back to the retailer selling it; otherwise, it suggests similar options. The feature also handles variation requests, such as "I like this sweater but want it in red."

The second feature is a Siri-powered natural-language search, letting users make voice or text requests without opening the Daydream app. Users who set up Daydream's Style Passport, which captures details like sizes, preferred brands, personal style, and budget, can get more tailored results.

Daydream launched its app last year and says it now has more than 1.5 million shoppers browsing products from over 325 retailers and 10,000 brands.
