Musk's X Corp and SpaceXAI Move to Dismiss Antitrust Lawsuit Against Apple

By AI123

Elon Musk's X Corp and SpaceXAI have moved to dismiss a lawsuit against Apple, according to court filings. The case was resolved in a federal court in Texas, though the reason for the dismissal has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether a settlement was reached. Apple has not yet publicly responded.

The original lawsuit, filed in 2025, accused Apple of antitrust violations over its integration of ChatGPT into Apple Intelligence, claiming the companies “locked up markets to maintain their monopolies and prevent innovators like X and xAI from competing.” The complaint also alleged that Apple and OpenAI conspired to suppress apps like Grok, and that Apple failed to prominently feature the X and Grok apps on the App Store.

Notably, several OpenAI rivals, including DeepSeek and Perplexity, spent time at the top of the App Store charts even after the partnership, though Grok did not.

OpenAI was also named in the original lawsuit, but today's dismissal only pertains to Apple. SpaceXAI said it will continue pursuing claims against OpenAI.
