01.AI and Kazakhstan's Q.AI to Build National Education Platform

By AI123

On September 15-16, 2026, at the SCO Digital Economy Forum held in Urumqi, Chinese AI company 01.AI signed a cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan's Q.AI to jointly build a national AI education platform with Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education.

The platform will adopt an "AI dual-teacher classroom" model, combining online lectures from urban teachers with in-person support from local teachers, and uses interactive answer-clicker devices to enable real-time engagement. 01.AI will integrate large models, course content, classroom terminals and learning data into a teaching system covering preparation, instruction, assessment and feedback.

The project has been rolled out in 10 pilot schools in the Pavlodar and Kyzylorda regions. According to the Ministry of Education, the pilot phase will cover 500 rural and small schools, with plans to expand to about 2,900 schools by 2029. AI modules for subjects including mathematics, digital literacy, Kazakh and Russian are expected to be included in the national platform after the pilot.
