Meta's Muse AI assistant adds calling feature for U.S. businesses
Meta's AI assistant Muse has added the ability to place calls to U.S. businesses. The feature will first roll out to users who ask Muse to make a call, and Meta said future features will also be made available first to people who request them.
Muse, a text-based AI assistant launched by Meta on September 8, 2026, competes with other assistants such as Instinct. Instinct has also introduced a calling feature called Instinct Concierge, which can book restaurants that don't take online reservations, get on a dentist's cancellation list, or sort out cable bill issues. It is rolling out in early access to some users. Both products now offer calling capabilities.
According to Sensor Tower, the Muse app had more than 730,000 downloads in the U.S. shortly after launch, and at one point reached the No. 2 position on app charts.
