Instinct launches Concierge calling feature for its AI agent
Noah Shinn, founder of San Francisco-based AI startup Instinct, announced on X that the company’s AI agent is adding a calling feature called Instinct Concierge. The feature can handle tasks such as booking restaurants that do not accept online reservations, getting users onto a dentist’s cancellation list, and resolving cable bill issues. It is rolling out in early access to some users, with plans to expand to all users over time.
Instinct has become one of the most popular text-based AI assistants and is reportedly in talks at a $10 billion valuation. In early September 2026, Instinct rolled out email addresses for its agent, enabling tasks such as account sign-up and management, and it now also lets users’ assistants contact other people’s assistants through a trusted network for certain tasks. In August 2026, Instinct raised $350 million at a $2.5 billion valuation.
Meta’s Muse AI assistant has also added the ability to place calls to U.S. businesses, with the feature first going to users who ask Muse to make a call. The moves put Instinct, Muse and other text-based assistant rivals such as Wajo, Town and Ollie on more equal footing when it comes to calling capabilities. According to Sensor Tower, Muse surpassed 730,000 downloads in the U.S. in its first days and briefly reached No. 2 on the U.S. app charts.
