Huawei Cloud introduces Agentic Infra, sets commercial rollout dates for Ascend 950 cluster service
At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, Huawei Cloud CEO Zhou Yuefeng delivered a keynote on building an Agentic Cloud and shared the company's latest infrastructure updates. He said that in the agent era, infrastructure is no longer just about providing compute power; the core is making every token more efficient. Huawei Cloud defined the Agentic Infra paradigm around efficient tokens, enhanced memory, converged scheduling of general and AI compute, and secure autonomy, saying it now serves more than 3,500 customers.
The company said the Lunqu Ascend 950 AI computing cluster service will go commercial in China on Sept 30 and overseas on Nov 30. The service uses a five-level rapid recovery mechanism, which Huawei Cloud says supports 40 days of stable cloud training and fault recovery within 10 minutes. Token throughput is 20% higher than the previous generation through coordinated optimization of scheduling, caching and algorithms. The CMS memory storage solution provides PB-level memory space, doubles storage capacity versus similar industry products, and offers TB-level high-speed memory reads with 50% better read performance.
Huawei Cloud also highlighted Agentic MaaS, which aggregates a broad range of models and lets developers call top SOTA models without deployment. MiniMax demonstrated its multimodal large model at the event. The company's enterprise agent platform, consisting of Zhiguo AgentArts and open-source openJiuwen, offers more than 5,000 general assets and 1,000 industry assets and has served more than 100 enterprises. AgentArts will be commercially available overseas on Dec 30. The Industry AI Dreamworks platform added government services and AI hardware zones, bringing in 24 and 15 core partners respectively, with the AI hardware zone covering more than 20 device types such as AI glasses, AI toys and AI recording cards, along with 10-plus scenario templates and 110-plus scenario skills.
