EVAS Intelligence Raises Nearly RMB 2 Billion for RISC-V Cloud AI Chips
EVAS Intelligence, a Beijing-based company focused on RISC-V cloud AI computing chips, has completed a new funding round of nearly RMB 2 billion, with a post-money valuation close to RMB 15 billion. The round attracted more than 20 investors, including Huatai Innovation, Zhongding Capital, SMIC Capital, Andon Health and Tongfu Microelectronics. The financing follows a RMB 1.5 billion Series B round and a strategic investment from China Mobile in the first half of 2026.
The company develops cloud and data-center AI accelerators based on the open-source RISC-V architecture, including its proprietary EVAMIND compute core and a TPU-like AI chip hardware design. Its first-generation Epoch computing chips have entered volume production and delivery, with floating-point performance, interconnect bandwidth and token throughput for large-parameter models ranked among the leading domestic mass-produced products. The chips have also passed mutual certification with related super-node solutions, supporting deployment in 10,000-GPU clusters.
Together with industry partners, EVAS has deployed a 64-node backplane-free orthogonal super-node cluster using its E200-L liquid-cooled OAM modules at a telecom operator data center. The company says it is the industry's first mass-produced RISC-V super-node. Its next-generation cloud computing chip has been taped out, delivering several-fold improvements in compute and interconnect performance, and can improve inference performance in prefill/decode separation scenarios by more than 10x with the second-generation super-node system.
Recently, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission issued a plan for the electronics manufacturing sector during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, emphasizing accelerated RISC-V R&D and industrialization. EVAS said it will continue leveraging its full-stack capabilities in chips, interconnect, software and cluster systems to deliver flexible deployment solutions and advance RISC-V cloud computing commercialization.
