QiYuan Unveils Two Personal Robots Starting at 19,999 RMB, Shipping October 1

QiYuan has announced pricing for its two personal robots—the Q1, designed for home interaction and education, and the T1, focused on follow-shot video recording and companion walking—both starting at 19,999 RMB (about $2,800), with deliveries planned to begin on October 1, 2026.

The 88-cm-tall Q1 is designed with eye-level interaction with children in mind, emphasizing interactive companionship and programming education. The T1 is geared toward content creators, with a focus on follow-shot recording and video capture. QiYuan is a robot project involving Zhi Hui-jun, co-founder and CTO of Zhiyuan Robotics.

The price point brings compact humanoid robots further into consumer territory. Unitree's G1 launched at 99,000 RMB in May 2024, while its R1 debuted at 39,900 RMB in July 2025 and is currently listed at 29,900 RMB. Songyan Power's Bumi entered the market at 9,998 RMB. With QiYuan's 19,999 RMB starting price, compact humanoid robots now span a range from around 10,000 to 40,000 RMB.

Industry observers attribute the declining prices to China's mature supply chain, which helps lower production costs, as well as manufacturers' choices to reduce body size, simplify joint configurations, and limit features to reach consumer price points. However, these products still rely heavily on preset actions, voice conversations, and companion apps, and buyers are advised to check specific configurations and capabilities.
