Corridor secures $25M seed to pair human advisors with AI agents for small-business health benefits
Corridor, an AI-enabled health benefits brokerage for small businesses, said on Sept. 21, 2026 that it has closed a $25 million seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures. BoxGroup and executives from OpenAI, Scale AI and Ramp also participated.
The company focuses on small businesses, which it says traditional brokerages tend to overlook because small accounts generate lower commissions while taking as much time as larger ones. On Corridor's platform, human advisors work with AI agents that handle back-office tasks such as checking whether a doctor is in a customer's insurance network, scheduling care and giving doctors updated insurance information.
Corridor CEO Nikhil Aggarwal said the company aims to be a healthcare concierge for employees and management. The startup was co-founded by Jackson Wagner, a former product lead at Scale AI who left in July 2022. Wagner later worked with former Scale AI colleague Eric Qian on Capernaum AI, a startup building a clinical agent for musculoskeletal care and chronic pain. After discussions with Cold Start, where Aggarwal was a partner, the group launched Corridor together. Wagner has said the company grew out of a running accident in which poor care coordination led to chronic pain; he also described health plans as the window through which most Americans access health care.
Corridor is preparing for the fourth quarter of 2026, when Aggarwal said 80% of small businesses choose their health plans. Other companies in the space include Ignition Benefits and Nava Benefits.
