Anthropic in Early Talks to Lease Up to 1GW of Data Center Compute Capacity

Anthropic is in preliminary discussions with Stream Data Centers to lease up to 1 gigawatt of compute capacity, according to people familiar with the matter. The facilities could be equipped with tensor processing units designed by Broadcom and Google, as well as Nvidia graphics processing units or other AI chips.

The discussions also included the possibility of Google providing a credit guarantee for the project, the report said.
