Anthropic's Claude Code Cloud Sessions Exit Research Preview, Now Generally Available

Anthropic announced on September 24, 2026 that Cloud Sessions for Claude Code are now generally available, marking the end of the research preview phase. The feature enables Claude Code to keep working in the cloud, even when users close their laptop lids.

Cloud Sessions run on users' existing Pro or Max subscriptions, just like the rest of Claude Code. Existing subscribers receive a one-time trial credit: $100 for Pro users and $250 for Max users, which is applied before regular plan usage is consumed.
