Rogo Co-Founder Discusses Financial AI: Per-Seat Pricing and a Focus on Private Markets
In a recent episode of the "Invest Like The Best" podcast, Rogo co-founder Gabe Stengel discussed the company's financial AI business and its focus on private markets. Rogo covers investment banking workflows from PowerPoint and Excel modeling to M&A execution and wealth management, adopting a Bloomberg-like per-seat pricing model.
Stengel said he does not expect OpenAI or Anthropic to build financial data rooms, an area where Rogo sees opportunity. He emphasized that finance requires deep compliance, auditability and workflow integration that general-purpose models are unlikely to provide.
He also revealed that Rogo recently closed a roughly $30 million strategic financing round backed by Citi, Barclays, BNP Paribas, MUFG and Societe Generale. Earlier in 2026, the company raised a $160 million Series D at a $2 billion valuation. JPMorgan and Bank of America are already heavy users of the platform.
