OpenAnolis Community Unveils SkillHub Recommendation System for AI-Native OS Skills
On September 23, 2026, at the AI Agent Native Operating System sub-forum of the 2026 Apsara Conference, the OpenAnolis Community officially launched the SkillHub recommendation system and presented awards for quality skills and best practices. The launch ceremony was attended by six guests, including Ma Tao, vice president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence and chairman of the OpenAnolis Community; Liu Dong, vice president of ZTE and vice chairman of the community; and Raghu Nambiar, AMD corporate vice president.
SkillHub is a skills ecosystem platform introduced after the OpenAnolis Community repositioned itself as an AI-native operating system community. In July 2026, the community and AMD launched the Skill Creation Camp, calling for skills and best-practice articles across nine infrastructure areas, including system operations, kernels, security compliance, AI and large models, and container and cloud-native technologies. After more than two months of submissions, the first batch of outstanding skills and practices was selected. The recommendation system evaluates each skill from four dimensions—functional credibility, runtime benefit, static quality, and dynamic safety effectiveness—and produces both overall and category rankings, turning the skill hub from a static directory into a recommendation engine with proactive discovery, continuous ranking, and precise distribution.
Based on the multi-dimensional scoring and ranking, the community announced winners of the Best Individual Contributor Award, Best Practice Award, and Best Ecosystem Enterprise Award. The best practice selections formed a complete chain from underlying hardware to upper-layer applications. Alibaba Cloud, Inspur, Intel, AMD, Sugon, Arm, ZTE, and Sunyard received the first Best Ecosystem Enterprise Award.
The SkillHub initiative has thus moved from skill aggregation to skill distribution, completing its ecosystem loop with the July call for submissions, the September hands-on workshop, and the launch at the Apsara Conference.
