Google's AI virtual closet rolls out to all iOS and Android users in US, Brazil, India

By AI123

Google has announced that its AI-powered virtual closet feature is now fully available to all iOS and Android users in the United States, Brazil, and India. The feature, part of Google Photos, turns outfits seen in users' photos into a digital wardrobe, allowing them to filter items by category such as tops, bottoms, and accessories, and mix and match pieces to create new looks.

The company first unveiled the feature in early 2026, with plans to begin rolling it out in the summer. Android users gained access starting in June 2026, and the feature is now live for all mobile users in the three supported markets. The concept was inspired by the virtual wardrobe app featured in the movie "Clueless."

Google says the feature is designed to assist users in managing their outfits, and data about what users wear is not shared with third parties such as retailers. Alongside the virtual closet, Google also introduced several other Google Photos updates, including a single-prompt photo selection and sharing option in Gemini Spark, an upgraded Markup tool, and additional AI-powered Remix templates.
