Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman to discuss AI scaling limits at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026

Cerebras Systems co-founder and CEO Andrew Feldman is set to take the Disrupt Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 with a session titled "Can AI Keep Scaling?" The conference runs from October 13-15, 2026, at Moscone West in San Francisco.

Feldman's talk will explore the growing demand for compute, energy, and infrastructure behind AI's continued expansion. He will also discuss how Cerebras is approaching those constraints through wafer-scale computing, a different path from conventional chip architectures, and what could happen if today's AI hardware reaches its limits.

Founded in 2015, Cerebras develops AI compute systems based on wafer-scale processors built across an entire silicon wafer rather than cut into individual chips. The company provides AI compute through on-premise systems and its cloud platform.

Cerebras has been scaling aggressively amid surging demand for AI compute. The company raised $5.5 billion in its IPO in May 2026 and signed a multiyear agreement with OpenAI to deploy 750 megawatts of Cerebras systems from 2026 through 2028. In August 2026, Cerebras introduced CS-4, the latest generation of its wafer-scale AI infrastructure.

The company also reported in August 2026 that more than 600 megawatts of data center capacity were live or under contract for delivery by the end of 2027. It said it was increasing manufacturing capacity more than tenfold during 2026, planned to bring its first European data center capacity online in 2026, and aimed to expand that to 200 megawatts by the end of 2027.
