Flai raises $27M Series A for AI-powered dealership software
Flai, a startup building AI-powered software for car dealerships, has raised a $27 million Series A round led by automation-focused investment firm Base10 Partners, with participation from Friedkin Group, Findlay Automotive, Toyota's venture arm, Y Combinator, and First Round Capital.
The company's AI software handles phone calls, emails, and texts for dealerships, runs outbound customer campaigns, and schedules appointments across sales and service. Flai said its AI now handles about 50,000 appointments per month, and revenue has grown 20x over the past year. More than 10 of the top 50 dealer groups in the U.S. use the platform.
CEO Ari Polakof said Flai has grown from a phone-answering tool into a broader customer management platform, with roughly half of its revenue coming from new customers through referrals. Co-founder Juan Alzugaray said the company began working with a luxury dealer in Puerto Rico earlier in 2026, where customers can switch between Spanish and English mid-conversation; the group is rolling Flai out across all eight of its stores.
Flai said its software can go live at a dealership within 10 days of signing a contract. The company, which raised its seed round in 2025 with a team of three, now has about 40 employees.
